200,000 Downloads!

So here we are again. Another nice number to display for the over-all iPhone downloads I have. 200,000!

Due to recent activities with my websites, I have not been able to work on any of my iPhone projects. But I’m hoping that very soon I will be able to continue with the current ones, and start up with a few news themes.

The recently released app ‘ThemeIt’ should hopefully make it a pleasure to theme with. I never was able to get much out of Cydia. And after Rock Your Phone was bought by Cydia, everything slowly crashed! Lets have the opening of this new theme provider and 200,000 downloads be the start, or should I say the re-continuation of the c-note iPhone themes!

Restyling The Theme

At first i wanted to display a website that showed the power of CSS3; and thous un-knowledgeable of the greatness in real browsers (such as Google Chrome, a ‘Webkit’ browser) just wouldn’t be able to see my website for what it was really worth. In fact I had gone to the extent of even creating the sidebar completely out of CSS3′s ‘box-shadow’ and ‘box-shadow inset’. This took me about 2 hours to write and about 10 lines of code to show.

However not only was the sidebar only made out of CSS3, the header and footer was, and the contents rounded box-like feature was also. This was actually causing the page to scroll and act a little slow due to the large amount of CSS3 having to be rendered. So I have decided to not only be nice to all of you Internet Explorer users, (who will never be able to experience the ‘real’ web until they change browsers) but i have decided to also restyle the old CSS3 and make the code into images.

Now everyone will be able to enjoy the same experience on my site. But seriously,.. all of you Internet Explorer users out there. Switch to a REAL browser already!!! Gecko (Mozilla) is decent, but if you want a real experience on the internet, go with a Webkit browser!

150,000 Downloads!

I have reached the 150,000 mark for my downloaded iPhone themes!

Only starting to create iPhone themes about a year ago, I feel that this is quite an achievement! My themes vary from small icon modifications to completely changed UI themes.

The change of Rock Your Phone being bought by Cydia has slowed down my production in themes a little, but I hope to get back on track very soon and release my first iOS 4 theme!
